Dharma-Gate Ransomware Removal Process (remove DharmaGateRansomware)

April 15, 2019

Dharma-Gate Ransomware is fresh off of the heels of the Dharma family of malware threats, which are known for infecting a system through spam email attachments and encrypting files on the affected system. Dharma-Gate Ransomware looks to be a replicated variation of Dharma that will also encrypt files and relay a ransom note that makes demands to pay a ransom fee for supposedly restoring the encrypted files.

Just like any other recent ransomware threats, Dharma-Gate Ransomware may not decrypt files after paying the ransom fee. Instead, it may take the money and run where the hackers behind Dharma-Gate Ransomware earn a payday at the victimized PC user’s expense.

In most cases the remedy for Dharma-Gate Ransomware is to first eliminate it using an antimalware resource. The files that it encrypts may be restored using a recent backup of the affected computer.
