Promos Ransomware Removal Process (remove PromosRansomware)

February 28, 2019

The mass influx of malware has been made mostly up of ransomware threats, such Promos Ransomware, which is a newer form of older ransomware threats. Promos Ransomware looks to perform the same traditional actions of encrypting files and then making demands to the PC user to pay a ransom fee for getting a supposed decryption code to restore all encrypted files.

Making the ransom payment demanded by Promos Ransomware is a gamble that could backfire and end up in loss of hundreds to thousands of dollars. Paying such a fee isn’t worth it to some but to others restoring their precious files is totally worth the ransom. However, paying the ransom is a risk that may not return a decryption code as promised.

It is in one's best interest to first eliminate Promos Ransomware using an antispyware tool and then utilize a backup of the affected system to restore encrypted files.
