Rapid RaaS Removal Process (remove RapidRaaS)

August 8, 2018

Rapid RaaS is an ultra-aggressive malware threat that is suspected to come out of the family of well-known ransomware threats and the older Rapid Ransomware malware. As a ransomware threat that has slightly evolved, Rapid RaaS has emerged to attack vulnerable PCs and lock down an infected system through the process of encrypting files and holding them for hostage.

The action of holding encrypted files for hostage is reiterated in the ransom note displayed by Rapid RaaS where it may demand a cryptocurrency payment and claim that the files can be restored after paying the ransom. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee of the files being restored after paying the ransom.

Computer users victimized by Rapid RaaS are strongly urged to first eliminate Rapid RaaS by using an antispyware program. After Rapid RaaS has been eliminated, the file encryption process will stop and computer users will then be able to restore the encrypted files using the most recent backup of their computer.
